NEW CLP-800 SERIES
Clavinova CLP digital pianos are designed to replicate the feel of playing an acoustic piano with a combination of the latest digital technology.
The rich sound of the piano lies in the complexity of its design. From the moment the pianist presses the keys to the moment the sound reaches their ears, over 8000 parts in the piano move and vibrate in perfect harmony.
The new CLP-800 series includes several new technologies that replicate the complex interactions occurring within a concert piano, offering the pianist an authentic piano experience.
DIGITAL HAS NEVER BEEN SO ACOUSTIC
KEYBOARD AND PEDALS
The GrandTouchTM & GrandTouch-STM keyboard and GrandTouchTM pedals replicate the feel of playing a real piano like never before.
EVEN MORE EXPRESSION
Grand Expression Modeling now produces even more tonal nuances, depending on the player's technique.
EXCEPTIONAL PIANO SOUND
The new tone generator chip delivers Yamaha's highest quality piano sounds yet.
MORE REALISTIC RESONANCE
Thanks to Yamaha's new sound generator chip, Virtual Resonance Modeling produces richer and more natural resonance than ever before.
MOST ADVANCED SPEAKER TECHNOLOGY
Grand Acoustic Imaging with spatial sound creates the ambiance of playing a concert piano.
TOP-NOTCH DESIGN
The CLP-800 series digital pianos mimic the elegant curves of an acoustic instrument's body.
TOUCH AND PEDALS
Each key on the GrandTouch™ keyboard with counterweights makes playing easier, no matter where you touch the key. It offers an enhanced touch for a wider range of tone and responsiveness. This allows for greater expressiveness (even when playing with a gentle touch, e.g., pianissimo), realistically simulating the feel of playing a concert piano.
The new GrandTouch™ pedals in the CLP-800 series not only resemble piano pedals but also allow pianists to feel the same resistance underfoot when pressing and releasing the pedal as on a real piano. GP Response even reproduces differences in resistance based on how you press the pedal, just like on acoustic pianos.
CAPTURING YOUR EXPRESSION
Grand Expression Modeling reproduces diverse tonal variations created by differences in the force and speed with which the keys are pressed and released, providing a more complete playing experience than ever before, helping pianists develop authentic expressive abilities.
EXCEPTIONAL PIANO SOUND
The CLP-800 series is equipped with a new tone generator chip, featuring higher computing power that delivers Yamaha's highest quality piano sounds to date. It includes sounds from two world-renowned concert grand pianos; the CFX, Yamaha's flagship concert grand piano, and the Bösendorfer Imperial with its famous Viennese sound.
MORE REALISTIC RESONANCE
The CLP-800 series pianos reproduce a richer, more natural resonance than ever before, thanks to the new tone generator chip combined with revolutionary technology, Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM). VRM creates a rich, diverse sound by simulating complex tones.
ENHANCED SPEAKER TECHNOLOGY
Yamaha's pinnacle acoustic technology for digital pianos, Grand Acoustic Imaging, reproduces the sound of a concert grand piano. This technology offers the latest acoustic design optimized for the shape of an electric piano, allowing the sound to spread throughout your playing space. Grand Acoustic Imaging on the CLP-865 GP provides a natural stereo sound presence. Low, mid, and high speakers with amplification power (45 W + 35 W) × 2 speaker system.
DESIGN
The CLP-800 series is the closest to a concert grand piano, not only in terms of feel and sound but also in terms of design.
Yamaha electric pianos in the CLP-800 series feature many gentle curves, similar to those found in acoustic instruments. The wide music rest built into the instrument is very functional, as it can hold multiple open sheets.
The LED display and touch sensor control panel are designed to turn off except when the player is adjusting settings, so they are not visible in the pianist's line of sight while playing.
BINAURAL SAMPLING
When using headphones, many may find their ears fatigued if they play for too long.
Binaural sampling addresses this issue. In this sampling method, special microphones are placed on a dummy head in the same position as the pianist's ears to capture sounds as the pianist would hear them in reality. This makes pianists feel as if they are sitting at a concert grand piano, even when playing with headphones. The experience is so enjoyable that they forget they are wearing headphones, no matter how long they play.
BLUETOOTH® CONNECTIVITY
Play your favorite songs via Bluetooth® connection on your piano and listen to them on the high-quality speakers of the CLP series pianos. You can even sit down at the instrument and play along with your favorite artists!
RECORD YOUR PERFORMANCES
On Yamaha CLP-800 digital pianos, you can record your performances in audio or MIDI format, via the Smart Pianist app or by connecting a USB flash drive. You can then share your progress with friends and family.
PLAY ALONG WITH DIFFERENT RHYTHMS
The Yamaha CLP-800 series of digital pianos is equipped with 20 different rhythmic patterns (drum and bass accompaniment) that are perfectly tailored to various music styles, allowing you to enhance your performance with different musical accompaniments.
