Description
SUPERIOR SOUND
The SU series is aimed at discerning pianists and includes true Yamaha craftsmanship in every part of the instrument. Only carefully selected premium materials are used for all components, including hammers and strings, which are the same as those in the world-renowned Yamaha CFX concert grand piano.
During final voicing and regulation, more time is dedicated to the piano, and experienced technicians carefully balance the entire instrument. The result is an accurate, responsive, and expressively rich sound suitable for a top model.
SUPERIOR RESONANCE WITH SELECTED RESONANCE BOARD
The resonance board is the main source of sound in the piano – it converts the vibrations of the strings into audible sound. Therefore, the wood is selected based on sound purity and the ability to accurately transmit details in resonance.
The SU7 model particularly stands out with its exceptionally sensitive response and luxurious sound, which is the result of careful development of the resonance board and optimization of resonance.
COMPLETE CONTROL
The SU series is designed to allow complete control over dynamics and playing speed. The keyboard and mechanics are optimized for precise touch response.
In the SU7 model, the keys are longer, allowing for a smoother initial motion, and the position of the mechanics has been redesigned for greater accuracy and control. The pianist can shape the sound entirely to their liking.
NATURAL AND TRANSPARENT SOUND LIKE A CONCERT GRAND PIANO
For a more natural sound experience, the SU series uses tone escapement, which allows the sound to reach the listener more easily. These openings are located above the lower front panel and behind the keyboard cover.
In addition, the piano has a liftable lid with multiple positions (the SU7 has a two-position system), which further enhances sound projection, similar to concert pianos.
AGRAFFS ACROSS THE ENTIRE KEYBOARD
The SU7 is the only Yamaha piano that uses agraffs, which precisely determine the position of the strings and their effective length across the entire keyboard.
This allows for better transmission of vibrations to the soundboard and frame, creating rich overtones and a very clear, quick sound response.
LUXURIOUS CRAFTSMANSHIP IN EVERY DETAIL
For complete premium quality, the interior of the SU7 is finished with a high-gloss coating. The design of the legs and finishes is inspired by concert pianos, giving the instrument a prestigious look and the feel of owning a top-tier piano.
The SU7 piano is also available in SILENT Piano version, allowing the user to practice "silently" through headphones.
